Attack on Titan 3 Launches December 10 on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X and S

Koei Tecmo has announced that Attack on Titan 3 will launch on December 10, 2026, for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X and S. Both physical and digital editions will be available for consoles.

Developed by Omega Force, the game covers the entire anime storyline and allows players to create a custom Scout Regiment member to fight alongside Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and Levi Ackerman. This is the first mainline Attack on Titan game since Attack on Titan 2, released nearly eight years ago.

This is the first game to adapt the full Attack on Titan story, following the manga’s 2021 conclusion and the anime’s 2023 finale.

What Attack on Titan 3 Includes at Launch

Attack on Titan 3 retells the complete anime story and combines ODM gear combat with social features. Players can build relationships with characters through conversations, gift-giving, and other interactions in addition to action gameplay.

Koei Tecmo positions this as the definitive way to experience the full Attack on Titan narrative in game form. Omega Force returns as the developer.

Koei Tecmo will offer multiple editions, including a SteelBook Launch Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a digital art book, character customization pack, original equipment pack, starter item pack, and 72 hours of early access.

Players with save data from Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on the same platform will receive bonus content in Attack on Titan 3. Koei Tecmo will announce further details on these rewards at a later date.

Attack on Titan 3’s MAPPA Opening Update and Buyer Notes

Koei Tecmo confirmed the game will receive a free post-launch update featuring an original opening animation produced by MAPPA and directed by Arifumi Imai. The animated opening will be added after the December 10 release.

Prospective buyers should review the following details related to their platform and existing save data:

  1. Decide between physical and digital console editions. Note that PlayStation still plans to end disc production, which may affect the long-term availability of physical copies.
  2. Verify if Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle save data exists on the same platform to qualify for platform-specific bonus content.
  3. Compare the SteelBook Launch Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, as only the Digital Deluxe Edition includes 72-hour early access and digital extras.
  4. Keep in mind that the MAPPA-produced opening animation will be available in a free post-launch update, not at release.

Attack on Titan 3 launches December 10, 2026, on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X and S. Koei Tecmo has not yet provided details on the bonus content for Attack on Titan 2 save data, the timing of the MAPPA opening animation update, or full pricing for each edition. Additional information on returning-player rewards will be shared closer to launch.
